Biography
Joseph Aufheimer, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in mental health and critical care. He has provided care across diverse settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, and telehealth, serving patients of all ages throughout the lifespan.
In addition to his clinical practice, Joseph served as a Professor of Mental Health Nursing at Arizona College, where he taught psychiatric nursing theory, supervised clinical rotations, and helped prepare the next generation of nurses to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.
His expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, trauma, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Joseph is committed to blending evidence-based treatment with empathy, collaboration, and respect for each patient’s unique experiences, providing care that promotes healing, stability, and meaningful progress.
