Biography
Dr. Giurgius was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and completed his undergraduate degree in Psychobiology with a minor in Gerontology at UCLA. He is passionate about serving adults, older adults, and patients with Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Giurgius fell in love with helping older people, especially those with Alzheimer's disease, while working with his father who is also a geriatric psychiatrist, along with his esteemed mentors. His research experiences have been at the UCLA Longevity Center where he has co-authored publications and taught courses to seniors with memory impairment.
He co-founded Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's (YMAA) in 2007, now formally part of Seth Rogen & Lauren Miller Rogen's nonprofit Hilarity For Charity. Dr. Giurgius is also a proud member of the Champions Advisory Council for Leeza Gibbons' "Leeza's Care Connection." He also currently manages The Healthy Brain Center, an adult and geriatric psychiatric institute by telehealth with his father and sister in California where their family mission is to help the underserved and older demographic.
